About Adelaide Engler

Adelaide is Brazilian.

She majored in Economics and had the chance to live and study in England, France, Italy, Spain and the United States, where the contact with several different schools and cultures gave her a rich background characterized by a diversity of subjects studied. She lived in New York for four years working in the financial market, as an investment advisor.

As a lover of the art of cooking, she built a solid gastronomic background. She became a chef, a TV hostess, a writer and critic, a columnist and a collaborator in different newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations.

She also develops and promotes other gastronomy-related activities such as tours, events and courses.

She is the author of the New York Gourmet Guide, the only Brazilian published book about New York restaurants and shops, published by Martins Fontes Editora, one of the most prestigious Publishing Companies in Brazil.

She wrote also the Food Translator in 7 languages (printed by the Tourism Ministry), and The gourmet in the kitchen (O Gourmet na Cozinha), published by Gutemberg Editora.

- Chef-consultant for restaurant Santa Chiara, San Diego Hotel.
- Chef Consultant for ABRASEL (Bars and Restaurants Brazilian Association).

As a food consultant, Adelaide lends her expertise to various newspapers, magazines, radio and TV stations.The knowledge and experience in the culinary art, added to her connection with renowned gastronomy-related professionals, give her consistency and credibility in the media.
